Public information reviewed on 20 October 2026. This guide compares published features; it does not rank independently tested delivery performance.
A customer has confirmed an order. Now you need to get it delivered—and, where applicable, get the payment collected and transferred to you.
The delivery charge is one part of that decision. A seller also needs to know when the parcel will be collected, what customers can see while it travels, what happens after a failed delivery and when collected payments reach the business.
For sellers in Trinidad and Tobago, those details deserve as much attention as the advertised starting price.
Before requesting quotes, write down:
Treat essential requirements as a first filter. If cash collection is necessary, confirm that service before comparing convenience features.
“Not verified” means the reviewed information did not establish the feature. It does not mean the provider cannot offer it.
An online request is not automatically a confirmed pickup appointment. Ask whether you receive a collection date, reference and confirmation—and whether you can change or cancel the request.
Likewise, online tracking may show shipment milestones rather than a courier’s live GPS location.
Three different arrangements can appear similar:
Cash on delivery: the courier collects the merchandise payment in cash on your behalf.
Card/LINX on delivery: the customer pays electronically when the parcel arrives.
Delivery-fee payment: someone pays the courier’s transport charge. That alone does not establish that the courier collects payment for your products.
CSF’s domestic page describes non-cash merchant collections. oDeliver’s terms describe different payment methods and limits for its delivery services. Confirm the option available for your account and route before offering it to customers. CSF collection details, oDeliver payment terms.
Ask a second question immediately: When will the collected money reach my bank account?
A delivered parcel, a recorded customer payment and a completed bank transfer are separate events. Request a sample settlement report showing the order reference, amount collected, deductions and net payout.
These suggested weights are designed for a small online seller. Adjust them to your priorities before comparing providers.
Rate each applicable criterion:
Weighted points = criterion weight × rating ÷ 5.
For example, a rating of 4 for pickup booking earns 12 of its available 15 points.
Keep an evidence note beside each rating: published information, written confirmation or trial observation. A provider’s website can establish an advertised feature; it cannot establish your delivery success rate.
Resolve unknowns before producing a final total. If a criterion genuinely does not apply—for example, payment collection when every customer prepays—remove it and calculate the result as a percentage of the remaining available points. Do not treat missing information as “not applicable.”
Send each shortlisted courier the same parcel details, route, merchandise value, payment method and expected volume.
Request a written breakdown covering:
Check unclear fee descriptions directly. For example, CSF’s reviewed page contains differing descriptions of payment-collection charges, so a current written breakdown is preferable to relying on one displayed figure. CSF domestic delivery information.
Shortlist two providers that meet your essential requirements. Where practical, try 10–20 genuine shipments per provider across the routes and payment methods your business normally uses.
Record the promised and actual pickup times, delivery outcome, tracking updates, support response, charges and bank settlement date.
Include Tobago or extended-area deliveries if those customers matter to your business. Observe how failed deliveries and returns are handled when they occur.
Calculate:
Cost per successful delivery = all courier and collection costs during the trial ÷ successfully delivered orders.
A small trial helps reveal workflow problems. It cannot guarantee future performance, especially across different routes or busy periods.
CariTap.Me lets customers browse your catalogue and send their selections to WhatsApp. You then confirm availability, the final total, payment and pickup or delivery directly with the customer. How CariTap works.
That gives you room to choose a courier around your business. Before dispatching, agree on the delivery charge, payment method, expected window and what happens if the customer cannot receive the parcel.
Book through the courier’s supported process and share its tracking reference when available. Any automated connection between CariTap and a courier should be confirmed separately.
Your next step: choose two providers from this guide, request comparable written quotes and use the rubric to assess the service your own customers will receive.
