These terms govern use of CariTap.Me, a service provided by The Canvas Guru, trading as CariTap.Me, in Trinidad and Tobago.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use CariTap.Me.

The service

CariTap provides hosted store pages and tools that help merchants display products and receive order details through WhatsApp.

CariTap does not promise uninterrupted availability and may perform reasonable maintenance or apply security controls when needed.

Merchant responsibility

Merchants are responsible for their products, prices, stock, descriptions, and the accuracy of their store content.

Merchants are responsible for taxes, payment arrangements, and compliance with applicable law.

Merchants are responsible for fulfilment, delivery, refunds, customer service, and resolving shopper concerns.

Merchants must obtain any permissions needed for names, images, trademarks, product claims, and other content they publish.

Product descriptions, availability, pricing, and delivery information must not be deceptive.

Illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, infringing, abusive, or prohibited products and content may not be offered through CariTap.

Each merchant should publish and follow suitable delivery, return, cancellation, and refund policies.

Merchants remain responsible for their staff, account users, and anyone acting through their store.

Users must respect the privacy and rights of shoppers, merchants, and third parties.

Merchant and shopper transactions

CariTap is not the seller of products listed by merchants and is not a party to transactions between merchants and shoppers.

During the founding launch, payment and fulfilment are arranged directly between merchants and shoppers.

Product disputes, delivery issues, cancellations, returns, and shopper refunds must be handled directly with the relevant merchant.

CariTap does not guarantee a merchant, product, price, stock level, delivery time, or shopper payment.

Shoppers should contact the merchant named on the store for order-specific assistance.

Nothing on a merchant store creates an agency, employment, partnership, or endorsement relationship with CariTap.

CariTap does not collect or control shopper payments during this launch phase.

Merchants may provide bank transfer, cash, payment-link, pickup, takeaway, or delivery instructions directly to shoppers.

Users must not represent CariTap as an integrated payment processor or as the seller of merchant products.

Customer information received through a store must be handled lawfully and only for appropriate business purposes.

Merchants are responsible for any licences, registrations, taxes, or consumer disclosures their business requires.

Accounts

Users must provide accurate information, protect their account credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

Users must not publish or use the service for illegal, deceptive, infringing, abusive, unsafe, malicious, or security-threatening content or activity.

CariTap Free plan

CariTap Free provides one store within the published product, category, and storage limits without a subscription charge or promotional expiry. No card is required. Use is subject to these Terms and reasonable fair-use, security, and abuse-prevention controls. An account with no sign-in or merchant update for 12 consecutive months may be archived after at least 30 days' notice through the account contact details or dashboard. A merchant may request reactivation or an export of retained store data where reasonably available.

Suspension and expiry

CariTap may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary because of misuse, legal risk, security risk, or a material breach of these terms.

Access to plan features may end when the 180-day plan expires. Any migration, renewal, or later-plan option will be communicated separately.

Changes, governing law, and contact

These terms may be updated as the service develops. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.

If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
