CariTap.Me for Taxi Drivers: One Link for Your Taxi Business

Cover image: AI-generated illustration of a driver and passenger beside a parked vehicle; not a real driver endorsement or customer testimonial.

A passenger steps out and asks, “How can I contact you next time?”

You can give them your number. You can also give them a link that explains what you offer and how to request another trip.

CariTap.Me gives a taxi driver a place to publish business information and connect passengers with their contact channels.

The starting point is a clear Digital Business Card: who you are, where you operate and how someone should get in touch.

Show the services you actually provide

Do you mainly work particular routes? Accept advance requests? Offer airport transfers or return trips by arrangement?

Make that clear on your profile.

Describe only the services you provide, and explain any conditions that affect availability.

Explain the trips you provide
Service Useful details to publish
Local trips Your usual service areas and how passengers should enquire
Airport transfers Advance-notice requirements and the details needed for a quote
Return trips How the return time and waiting arrangements are agreed
Regular journeys How passengers can discuss recurring travel arrangements

You do not need to advertise every type of trip. A clear description of your actual service is more useful than a long list you cannot consistently fulfil.

CariTap currently displays a Taxi theme, and its Digital Business Card plan lists services, business hours and contact features. Explore CariTap’s themes and features.

Explain where and when you operate

A passenger should not have to guess whether their pickup location is within your service area.

State your usual base and the areas you cover. Explain whether other destinations are available by arrangement.

Keep your hours accurate. If early-morning or late-night trips require advance notice, say so. Avoid presenting general operating hours as a promise that you are available for every request during that period.

Your profile can explain the service. You still need to check your schedule before accepting a particular trip.

Help passengers send a useful enquiry

A message saying “How much for a drop?” usually leaves several questions unanswered.

Use your profile to tell passengers what you need:

  • Pickup area or location.
  • Destination.
  • Travel date and preferred pickup time.
  • Number of passengers.
  • Amount of luggage.
  • Whether a return trip or additional stop is needed.

For example, a passenger might send:

Hi, can you quote for a pickup in Chaguanas to Piarco at 6:30 a.m. on [date]? Two adults, two suitcases and a one-way trip.

This is an illustrative enquiry, not an automatically generated CariTap booking.

Once you have the details, confirm whether you can accommodate the trip and provide the applicable fare and arrangements.

Ask passengers to share exact addresses and other trip details privately rather than posting them on your public profile.

Make the confirmation step clear

Set expectations before someone relies on a pickup.

A useful process is:

Passenger enquires → You check the trip → You confirm the arrangements.

Your confirmation should identify the agreed pickup, date, time, destination and fare. Explain any waiting, extra-stop or return-trip conditions that apply.

CariTap’s current plan lists appointments and service booking. If you choose to use those options, configure and test the process before directing passengers through it. Check what information is collected and how a request becomes confirmed. See the current plan features.

Make the distinction visible:

Please wait for my confirmation before treating your trip as booked.

Check and answer enquiries while safely parked.

Give passengers a link they can share

After a trip, you could say:

Here’s my link with my services and contact details. Save it for next time, or share it with someone who needs to contact me.

A reusable profile gives the next person more context than an unexplained phone number.

Put the same link in your WhatsApp profile, relevant social profiles and printed business materials. Keep the name and number consistent so passengers know they have reached the right contact.

CariTap also advertises QR sharing. A QR code on a printed card or inside the vehicle can give passengers another way to open your profile. Check that it opens the correct page on a phone before printing it. CariTap sharing features.

Sharing your details does not require adding passengers to an unsolicited marketing list.

Present your business accurately

Use a clear photograph of yourself and current photographs of the vehicle you use.

Include practical information passengers may need, such as passenger capacity and luggage arrangements. Confirm that the vehicle can accommodate a particular request before accepting it.

Keep photographs and descriptions current. Get permission before using identifiable passenger photographs or feedback.

Your profile should represent the service people will actually receive. It should not suggest credentials, facilities or availability you have not established.

Start with a small, useful profile

Begin with:

  • Your business or professional name.
  • A short description of your service.
  • Your usual service areas.
  • Accurate operating hours and advance-request arrangements.
  • Your contact details.
  • Instructions for requesting and confirming a trip.

Open the finished page on your own phone. Check the contact links and ask someone unfamiliar with your business whether they can understand how to enquire.

CariTap Free currently includes one Digital Business Card and one WhatsApp store. For this use case, start with the Digital Business Card and the information passengers need.

Free registration is currently open. Optional setup assistance is advertised at TT$100 as a one-time payment. Review the current plan and setup-assistance details before choosing your route.

Measure enquiries and confirmed trips separately

CariTap advertises visitor analytics, but a profile visit is not a completed journey.

Ask new passengers how they found you. Keep a simple record of enquiries, accepted trips and referrals so you can assess whether your link is useful.

Update your profile when your number, vehicle, service areas or arrangements change.

The practical benefit starts with clarity: passengers have somewhere to check your service, and you have a consistent link to share.

Start with CariTap Free and build a Digital Business Card around the trips you actually provide.
